Kitchen trends for 2025, part 2!

We’re over halfway through 2025, and it seems that the natural look is top of homeowners’ lists for the rest of the year.

While the stress-free kitchen is still popular, it will have a cosy feel, utilising warm, earthy tones. So it’s time to clear the clutter and opt for easy-care surfaces like quartz and granite. They are the perfect choice for busy homes, and as we head towards autumn, they will embrace all that we love about the season.

If you’re looking to update without a full remodel of your kitchen, worktop replacements are a great choice.

Warm, earthy tones

White is still a firm favourite for kitchen worktops, but we are taking note of the Danes and embracing Hygge. We want our homes to feel cosy and welcoming, so that they improve our well-being, and we’ve seen an increase in sales of warmer, natural shades of quartz and granite. Combined with natural accents, the result is a home that exudes contentment and cosiness.

Feature splashback

Splashbacks have always been popular, but 2025 has been the year of the bigger, shaped splashbacks to create an easy-care focal point in the kitchen. Opt for a statement splashback behind the sink or the hob, or be adventurous and go for a full-height all-round splashback to add a stylish finish that’s stunning and practical.

We love creating dramatic finishes with shaped edges that add individuality to your kitchen, as well as book matching where possible to give a seamless look.

Bold worktops

For those who are looking for a bolder look, we have granite and quartz worktops that shout “Look at me!” Some look like ice or snow-topped mountains from above, some have an earthy appeal, we even have some that look like the night sky or a river delta. If you love to be different, we have just the worktop for you.

Waterfall Islands

Why settle for a single-level island when a waterfall island adds a touch of luxury? Islands add extra workspace, whether it’s for eating or food prep, and a waterfall top creates separate spaces to keep everyone happy. Perfect for open plan living and entertaining.

Shaped edges

In 2025, sharp corners are taking a back seat as smooth, rounded edges make their way into kitchens across the UK. From curved island units to gently rounded quartz or granite worktops, this design trend is bringing a softer, more organic feel to modern spaces.

These flowing lines not only create a welcoming, elegant look but also improve the sense of movement and comfort in your kitchen. When paired with natural materials like stone, wood, or textured finishes, curved elements can transform your space into a warm, relaxed, and harmonious environment.

Other trends include the use of mixed materials like combining wood and quartz, or adding silk wallpaper. Some worktop companies embrace sustainability in their worktops, using recycled materials and eco-solutions in production, which is an important consideration.

Green worktops are making waves in kitchen and bathroom design, offering a look that’s both distinctive and versatile. From deep forest green granite to soft sage quartz, these rich tones bring the beauty of nature indoors, adding warmth and personality to your space.

Dark green worktops pair beautifully with brass hardware and warm wood cabinets for a luxurious, classic feel, while lighter shades create a fresh, airy atmosphere when matched with pale cabinetry and natural textures.

Green is a popular colour choice to bring the outdoors in and create a feeling of nature in your home, and surprisingly, so is black!

Black worktops have a unique way of making a statement. Whether you choose polished black granite, deep-toned quartz, or a honed matte finish, they bring instant elegance and sophistication to any kitchen or bathroom.

Far from feeling cold or overpowering, black worktops can actually warm up a space when paired with the right materials. Natural wood cabinets, warm metallic hardware, or soft lighting help create a cosy, inviting atmosphere. For a dramatic modern look, contrast them with crisp white cabinets or high-gloss surfaces.
